

This picture of an advertise of Dolce & Gabbana shows that advertising is too sexy now. The company of Dolce & Gabbana are saying "Sex sells!" So they try to pose their models in a sexy way and try to make the picture look hot so they can make you think that you could look like that.
This picture say that us Americans do not have to say word by word the way we are feeling. We can just show an expression and people will know how were feeling.
McDonald's means that people can go to their fast food restaurant through the Drive Thru at any moment they feel like eating a Big Mac. It shows that people sometimes are too busy with work, school, sports, anything to stop by at their house and make something to eat.
I agree with you on the Mcdonals symbol, i too chose that symbol. I think that Americans have become way more lazy and now mostly rely on fast food places to give them their meals. It's pathetic.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you brought up the idea of gestures...they are just as important a way of defining a culture as material goods that you've picked symbols for. And that D&G ad....my goodness! Talk about how American values have changed....my 87 year old grandma would have a heart attack if she saw that!
